Adrenal fatigue is no longer a medical misnomer. To the people that suffer from a combination of autoimmune conditions, sensitivity to bright light, digestive disorders, chronic fatigue (always feeling tired), brain fog, hair loss, hormone imbalance, poor stress response, Insulin resistance, low blood pressure, decreased sex drive/libido, moodiness and irritability, depression, unexplained weight gain and many more, adrenal fatigue is very real.

Because the symptoms are often difficult to pinpoint by regular medical practitioners, people suffering from AF, are more than often misdiagnosed and placed on anything from heavy pain killers to strong anti-depressant drugs. The underlying issues are not resolved and the person learns to live with his/her symptoms, for life.

Causes:

An episode of acute stress or prolonged (especially for over a year), ongoing stress can cause adrenal glands to become overloaded and ineffective, then improperly release cortisol. These may include death of loved one, divorce, moving city or country, pandemic lockdowns, financial heart-ship, child birth or surgery.

Ingredients:

Adaptogenic herbs Ashwagandha, Rhodiola rosea, and Holy basil may help to lower cortisol levels and mediate stress responses within the body. These herbs can alleviate some of the strain on your adrenal glands.

Astragalus helps to normalise adrenal function and improve energy levels.

Licorice root has been shown to help increase the DHEA in your body, aiding in the recovery of adrenal glands. Make sure to monitor blood pressure, as levels can increase in some patients.

Moringa helps to naturally detox the liver and restore adrenal glands As a dietary supplement, Moringa is high in protein, B vitamins, vitamins A and C and contains minerals such as calcium and iron.

Ginseng help regulate cortisol levels, making these damaging results less likely. It acts like a thermostat on cortisol levels. In addition, ginseng supports adrenal health, helping these glands work more efficiently.

Magnesium (glycinate) is one of the necessary nutrients for fighting adrenal insufficiency

Vitamin C (including Rosehips Extract) is known as a “stress-busting” nutrient, vitamin C appears to minimise the effects of stress on people as well as reduce the time necessary to bounce back from stressful events.

Vitamin D maintains homeostasis between magnesium and phosphorus in the body and supporting strong bones, vitamin D may impact other conditions, including adrenal dysfunction and disease.

Vitamin B5 is another commonly deficient vitamin in people with adrenal stress.

L-Tyrosine creates Epinephrine and norepinephrine (adrenal hormones) in the body.

The idea behind using L-tyrosine, in this situation, is that you are providing your body with the necessary building blocks to produce more of these hormones which may “increase” your stress resilience.

Selenium deficiency can negatively impact adrenal function.
