Nature’s Healer

The use of Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)  in medicine dates from around 1963, when an Oregon Health & Science University Medical School team, headed by Stanley Jacob, discovered it could penetrate the skin and other membranes without damaging them and could carry other compounds into a biological system.

INGREDIENTS

Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) 99.5% Pure (DMSO is an organosulfur compound with the formula (CH3)2SO)

Distilled water

HOW DOES DMSO WORK?

It may be best summed up in the words of Dr. Stanley W. Jacob, co-discoverer of the therapeutic properties of DMSO: “ We’ve barely scratched the surface, for this is a new principle in medicine. We’ve had only three new principles in our century  — the antibiotic principle, the cortisone principle, and now the DMSO principle — and the DMSO principle is the only new one of our generation….”

The chemist Dr. H Harry Szmant says that the basic therapeutic principle of DMSO is that cellular damage can be altered — the cell healed and restored to near normal — by changing the water structure within the cell.

WHAT DMSO HAS BEEN USED FOR

It blocks pain by interrupting conduction in the small c-fibres, the nonmyelinted nerve fibres.

It is anti-inflammatory.

It is bacteriostatic, fungistatic and virostatic (It stops the growth of theses pathogens, but may not necessarily kill them)

It transports numerous pharmaceutical products across membranes.

It reduces the incidence of platelet thrombi in blood vessels (prevents blood clots)

It acts as a tranquilliser even when simply rubbed into the skin.

It’s a vasodilator (increased blood circulation) and prostaglandin inhibitor (reduce inflammation)

It reduces scar tissue when applied to scars.

It stimulates various types of immunity.

It stimulates the healing of wounds.

HOW TO USE DMSO

It should be noted that DMSO is only for EXTERNAL use on the skin only, and the skin should be free of any chemicals, lotions or oils, as these will be transported across the skin by applying DMSO on top of it.

Apply Cheyne’s DMSO on any inflamed joint or muscle and allow it to absorb into the skin. A slight itchy or warm sensation may be experienced after application. If the itchy sensation is too uncomfortable, pure water can be applied over the area to alleviate. You may experience a taste of garlic in the mouth right after application, this smell may be noticed by others and is totally harmless.

WHAT MAKES CHEYNE’S DMSO SPECIAL

Cheyne use CERTIFIED 99.5% Pure DMSO blended with pure water. In blending DMSO with water the itchy irritation that sometimes occurs if it’s applied too often is reduced.

We use only glass bottles, supporting the shelf life and ensuring a quality product every time it’s used.
