Green Coffee Beans extract

Studies found that it has the ability to help induce weight loss. Research suggests that chlorogenic acid is highly absorbable once consumed and helps the body burn glucose and stored body fat for energy. It may also reduce inflammation (a root cause of diabetes and other metabolic problems), slow the release of sugar into the bloodstream and help regulate the release of insulin, which brings glucose into the cells.

Scientists say that the positive effects of green coffee bean on blood sugar has to do with its ability to lower inflammation, aid in reaching a healthier body weight and potentially curb cravings for inflammatory foods. At the same time, it may be helpful for lowering glucose levels and potentially increasing energy. While caffeine may have positive effects on metabolic functions, even green coffee bean products that have been decaffeinated seem to still be beneficial.

Green coffee may be able to help normalise blood sugar levels, sometimes significantly, which in turn can lower the risk of type 2 diabetes.

 

Apple Cider Vinegar 

There is a plethora of research out there confirming the benefits of apple cider vinegar for weight loss.The ability of ACV to help maintain normal blood sugar is one of the most well-studied apple cider vinegar benefits.

ACV may also increase insulin sensitivity. Insulin is the hormone responsible for transporting sugar from the blood to the tissues where it can be used as fuel. Sustaining high levels of insulin can cause insulin resistance, which reduces its effectiveness and leads to high blood sugar and diabetes.

Studies show that ACV may also increase satiety, which can help reduce intake and amp up weight loss. In fact, one study showed that drinking apple cider vinegar actually decreased total caloric intake by up to 275 calories over the course of the day.

 

L-Carnitine 

Carnitine is a type of amino acid that benefits energy levels by transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria where they can be burned up and used as fuel. For this reason, many take carnitine as a weight loss supplement to help bump up fat burning.

Because L-carnitine plays a central role in energy production, many athletes begin taking it as a way to enhance endurance and boost athletic performance. Both human and animal studies have confirmed the beneficial effects of this amino acid on endurance levels.

Many people look to L-carnitine as a way to help shed unwanted pounds and lose weight fast. When combined with diet and exercise, some studies have found that supplementing with it can, in fact, be an effective way to enhance weight loss.

L-Tyrosine

Hypothyroidism reduces the metabolism so it will be difficult to lose weight. A hypothyroid is an under-active thyroid. L-Tyrosine supports the function of the thyroid.

Green tea Extract

Certain studies indicate that intake of flavan-3-ols and/or anthocyanidins found in green tea may improve glycemic control and help normalise blood sugar levels. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, green tea is believed to be beneficial for those who are at-risk or diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Green tea’s catechins, especially EGCG, appear to have anti-obesity and anti-diabetic effects.

According to some research findings, consuming antioxidants found in green tea, especially catechins and the compound called EGCG, may promote metabolic health and modestly prevent weight gain.

Kelp

Because kelp contains an extremely high level of iodine (up to 2,984 micrograms in some varieties), it’s one of the best ways to maintain a healthy level of iodine. Powdered kelp has been used to treat hypothyroidism, which may have a great effect of weight gain.

A protein found in kelp known as fucoxanthin, has been shown to significantly reduce fat tissue.

Another way kelp can be helpful when losing weight is by the presence of particular molecules known as alginates. One study studied the effect of kelp on pancreatic lipase, finding that its consumption reduced this process by which the pancreas over-processes fat and stores too much in the body. Instead, this seaweed was a vital factor in helping the body expel fat via excrement, rather than absorb large amounts. Essentially, this means it’s considered a lipase (fat) inhibitor.

Chromium Poly nicotinate

Chromium boosts the effectiveness of insulin, which helps keep your blood sugar at optimal levels. It also participates in the metabolism of carbohydrate, fat and protein. Some evidence suggests that taking chromium picolinate orally can lower fasting blood glucose, insulin levels, and hemoglobin A1c. It may also decrease weight gain in type 2 diabetes

Gymnema Sylvestre

Gymnema sylvestre, the “destroyer of sugar”, gets its nickname from its effects related to sugar metabolism. It helps combat diabetes and can help with weight loss,

Gymnema sylvestre may help you fight sugar cravings and lower high blood sugar levels. The plant may also play a beneficial role in diabetes treatment, as it may help stimulate insulin secretion and the regeneration of pancreas islet cells — both of which can help lower blood sugar.

 

Calcium Pyruvate

In another study it was shown that an extract of the plant Coleus forskohli together with the low-calorie diet can be useful for counteracting weight-gain due to metabolic issues. Patients that were practicing low-calorie diet and took the plant extract had lower weight and improved insulin resistance 

L-Lysine

It seems one of the L-lysine benefits for diabetics may be to prohibit the formation of AGEs in those with diabetes by preventing specific paths of glycation that lead to these products, helping to stave off infection.

These AGEs are part of the ageing process in the body in all people, but they’re in very high concentrations in diabetic patients. They’re implicated in many diabetes-related health conditions, leading scientists to study therapies that involve stopping AGEs from collecting in large numbers.

Cordyceps sinensis

Cordyceps has been shown to aid in reversing insulin resistance. Insulin resistance severely impairs the body’s ability to absorb glucose, resulting in dangerously high blood levels of glucose and insulin. As insulin drives the excess glucose out of the blood for storage as fat, the body is deprived of necessary fuel for energy, resulting in increased fatigue and unhealthy weight gains.

Cordyceps contain adenosine, a type of nucleic acid that is needed to make ATP, an “energy carrier” that is depleted in the muscles during physical activity.

Two active constituents in cordyceps, d-mannitol cordycepin and 3’-deoxyadenosine, are partially responsible for various physiological actions that help control insulin and blood sugar levels. In animal models, cordyceps supplements have helped combat high blood sugar levels while also reducing insulin levels to protect against insulin resistance.

 

Losing Weight is Difficult BUT:

In the February 2011 issue of Scientific American, science writer David Freedman observed that, “It doesn’t seem as though it should be so hard. The basic formula for weight loss is simple and widely known: consume fewer calories than you expend. And yet if it really were easy, obesity would not be the nation’s number one lifestyle-related health concern.”

The biggest reason this is the case, is simply put, human nature. We want FAST results, yesterday. Most diets consists of some form of special program to follow for a specific period of time. In this period you may loose some weight and even reach your “goal weight”

The question most people don’t answer at the beginning of the program is: “What happens AFTER the diet is over?” The answer to this is the reason most people regain the weight they lost in the beginning. They simply go back to their old habits, which will eventually produce the same results, weight gain.

The solution is to find a diet that you can follow for the rest of your life, all the while you keep your weight in check. The problem with this is that one diet simply does not fit every body.

4 part approach:
